Quindao is the port city where the Sailing venue for the Beijing Olympics were held.

This year’s Chinese Olympic preparations required unique solutions to unique conditions.

Quindao is known for its high humidity, heat, and light air. As in the Worlds in Cascais, endurance testing is as much of part of the competition as the actual sailing.. In China, endurance means the postponements, the heat, the sun, humidity and current. In contrast, Cascais meant enduring the cold wind, cold water , and the unpredictability of the wind, both in strength and direction.

Sailing Angles has designed some unique pieces of gear to help you get through both the warm weather conditions and the endurance factor that these weather conditions and this particular venue will create. This is gear that breathes like a lung , moves moisture and sweat quickly from you body for quick evaporation, and offer almost complete UV protection. Breatheability, moisture transferability, coolness, quick drying , UV protection are essential qualities inherent in this Quindao line.

Outer or Undergear
Almost of the gear mentioned here can be worn as underwear in other conditions, because of its great breatheable and non binding qualities. In the many circumstances, like Quindao, the Med in the summer, or the tropics, the gear will flower as the perfect outerwear.

ABOUT UV PROTECTION: UV protection is essential for all of us if we want to continue sailing safely and comfortably into our later years. Many of Sailing Angles ’ anti- UV products utilize a uniquely fine- knit Lycra. Lycra is a big word, with thousands of variations, and many companies offer it. Sailing Angles’ Lycra when placed on the spectrograph measure a 99.2% blockage of the Ultra Violet A & B waves, a fundamentally complete UV blockage. The A & B waves are the component of the UV spectrum that threaten our dermatological health. This UV blockage is structural, and integral to the fabric construction and not a spray on appliqué. Sailing Angles ’ fabric may be a little more expensive, but you know what you are getting.: the protection and functionality designed for your sport!

Darlexx/Neoprene Battened Hiking Shorts

The Battened Hiking Shorts have a laminated Lycra Darlexx front that breathes and is cooler in summer. The back is 3mm nylon-laminated Neoprene. These shorts are thinner for comfort yet firm enough to hold the tough batten pockets in place. Each short has an interior thigh pocket which accepts the batten packets, which are adjustable within this inner thigh pocket. The batten packets are locked into place with both velcro and your muscle pressure against the pocket. Each short comes with a pair of batten packets.
