These awesome on-deck gear bags are made of water repellant, laminated, high-teck sail cloth. Each 420/FJ On-deck Gear bag has a bolt rope, sewn on its back, which slides into a pre-drilled, pvc (plastic) track which is also included... this is very kewl!

These 420/FJ Gear bag has the carrying capacity for two spray tops, two lunches, sailing instructions and comes with two bottle bags . It measures approximately 18"x 8" x 8"


The 420/FJ Bag comes with its pvc track predrilled to fit over the gudgeon bolts, on the upper inner transom. The bag and track hang securely below the rudder out of the way. Some FJs use the same gudgeon fitting as the Vanguard 420. Consequently the predrilled track will be usefull. PS 420s' use differnt gudgeon fittings and consequently the pvc track will have to be drilled as they do not match the predrilled tracks for the Vanugard fittings. Alternatively the track may be glued (4200) to the center board case,  forward and out of the way of your feet.

Measurer's counter-weights, if you boat measures light, will attach to the transom without problem and your gear bag will just slide over top of the weights, in most cases

 
The 420/FJ  will keep the lunches and spray tops dry and  out of the spinaker bag and bilge.  When the competition is hot and you want the boat light as possible simply toss the bag to your coach.  Your coach will wish everyone had their gear so concise and well organized. .
